CANON Launched New Pro dSLR

Last week me and Kam Meng attended the seminar organised by Canon Malaysia at Royale Bintang Hotel, Jalan Bukit Bintang. Early morning the road was close for rehearsal for 11th Asean Summit. The morning session was quite boring la, afternnon session was more interesting, conducted by Ian Llyod, Canadian. He is a pro photograher and contribute photos to National Geographic, and others. According to Canon, they will organize more seminar in the future, and Ian Llyod will be the guest. FOC canon photography book, Professional Digital Photography Guide Book, freen lunch, tea break, nice Canon girls, can try on various type of Digital Cameras.

EOS 1Ds Mark II, 5D, 1D Mark II N

Below is the Spec of Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II, it has 45 points AF. Price? Wow !! RM 29,999.00, body only. But we do try EOS 5D (12.8 Mega Pixels), very good, very very fast focusing, 9 point AF. Price only RM 14,499.00 only, i like this model compared to EOS 350D, which after i tried EOS 5D. Canon EOS 1D Mark II N (8.2 MPixel, 45 points AF), RM 24,999.00 only.

The EOS-1Ds Mark II is the sixteen (point seven) megapixel successor to the EOS-1Ds which was announced almost exactly two years earlier. Carrying on from the EOS-1Ds the Mark II has a full size 35 mm (36 x 24 mm) sensor which means it introduces no field-of-view crop, an 18 mm lens on this camera will provide exactly the same field-of-view as it would on a 35 mm film camera. At first glance it's clear to see that Canon has stuck (as they did with the EOS-1D Mark II) with the same body and control layout.

Despite the significant jump in resolution from the EOS-1Ds (11 mp) to the EOS-1Ds Mark II (16.7 mp) the camera maintains an impressive four frames per second shooting rate and a buffer large enough for 32 JPEG or 11 RAW images. The EOS-1Ds Mark II's internal bus throughput of approximately 67 megapixel/sec is virtually identical to the eight megapixel EOS-1D Mark II.

i prefer Nikon and Sony (Carl Zeiss lens)....Canon not even in my list of camera....i think Nikon still the best in SLR (whether digital or analog)....that's my opinion....

i use Nikon F401x slr camera, i m the supporter of Nikon camera. All the while i believe Nikon is the best in SLR and dSLR. But Nikon D50 is not that good la, D70 is better. Nikon pro series dSLR i haven't try b4, so no comment. But Canon pro series is good. wait for nikon strike back, if they organize seminar, then i will attend and try the pro series of dSLR.

but for sure, i m not going to buy compact digital camera from canon, quality is no good la compare to nikon and olympus.
