8th Kuok Foundation Scholars' Reunion Dinner 2007
Date: 20 October 2007
Time: 6.00 pm - 11.00pm
Venue: Shangri-la Hotel, Kuala Lumpur
Theme: Retro 70’s
This was my 3rd time attending the scholars' dinner, in 2002 (with Pui Ling), 2005 (alone as PL was pregnant) and 2007 (me & PL). FYI, PL also a Kuok Foundation scholar.
I obtained the loan from Kuok Foundation during my 2nd year study in UPM, while Pui Ling obtained her half loan half grant during 3rd year in UPM. Therefore, both of us are scholars.
Main Objectives of Kuok Foundation:
1. To foster, develop and improve education of all kinds and in such manner as may from time to time be decided upon by the Foundation, including the founding and maintaining of scholarships and chairs at schools, colleges and universities.
2. To subscribe and grant donations to any cause, person, corporation, institution or organization and to grant study loans to students for higher education.
3. To contribute towards scientific research and teaching and to provide medical and surgical facilities and services of all kinds.
4. To organize, carry out and support schemes for the relief of human suffering, improvement of the standard of human life and the treatment of sickness and diseases.
5. To assist, aid and give relief to the poor and needy who by reason of age, ill-health, misfortune or infirmity are wholly or in part unable to maintain themselves and their dependents by their own exertions and in particular widows and orphans, victims of fire, floods, famine, war or calamity and those in need of moral or social rehabilitation or welfare. Provided that the person who is to be the object of such relief is a suitable and worthy object of such relief or appears capable of deriving permanent benefit, bearing in mind that the object of this endowment is the encouragement of self-help and rehabilitation of those in temporary or inevitable distress and not the encouragement of idleness or vice.
6. To support health, sporting and recreational activities by donating towards hospitals, sanatorium or other institutions for developing, maintaining and regaining bodily or mental health and strength.

"And callers can expect their calls to be answered within 10 seconds or after four rings." ....
Please count next time when you make a call but please don't make prank call. They can track you now, faster.
Hope we all do not need to call that number.

Can i ? Can ah ? Can ?
No one know him and everyone thought either one of us know him. It is alright if some one greet you. But the problem is this guy ......
The conversation:
"What you guys doing ah? shares ah? got any tips ah?", Blue Shirt Guy asked. "No, it is our own thing. We are having discussion here.", replied one of us. That blue Shirt Guy keep on kacau us tak berhenti-henti. "You all do direct sales ah? Maybe i can join, can i join ah? can i? we can together invest.", Blue Shirt Guy said. Then many of us replied him and asked him to leave us alone here. Finally my turn to answer. "It is private. If you don't mind, please ......", said by me with TL voice a bit.
You know what, the best part of the story was, after i asked him to get off, he replied this. "I will go once i finish reading what you write." Nia mah, something wrong with this guy kot?
Lastly, my friend just telling him to F**k off and that guy walk to other part of kopitiam to kacau the makcik who goreng vege and later to the boss.
I think he made a loss big time in share market kot?

Damn it, she was killed by her mom and mom's boy friend. What a sandiwara by her mom. A cute little young girl just lost her life without really enjoying her life ...... She was killed brutally beyond description.
Send her mom to hell, can we? F**K!!!
The murder allegedly took place in the couple’s rented apartment in Bandar Baru Air Itam on Friday, the day the girl was reported missing by her mother Jess Teh.
