Ijok: BN won but ....

More than RM 50 million spent just able to increase majority vote by only 201? It is about RM 250k per vote increase!! What a waste of other Rakyat's tax money, and yet we also never know if there are any leakage during the allocation. The promisses gave by BN, will it drag till next GE since the next GE is about 11 months away (to prevent Anwar from contesting) or as early as mid August this year after BN won in Ijok Buy-Election. And i do not think BN able to spend million of ringgit per seat as there are 576 seats of Dun and 222 seat for Parliament.

Anyway, it is the Ijokian who won. But don't you think they are short sighted? Why people want the sweets at last minute, why not getting the sugar supply for every year? We are the boss, we are not beggars! Treat us like your boss, BN! Else, more chinese majority Dun & parliament seats like Penang, KL, Perak will Change in the coming GE!!

See You In Ijok

I plan to pay a visit to Ijok Town tomorrow afternoon since my company declared holiday. See you there... I shall show you some photos later....hope that i can walk out safely from the "war zone" with some exclusive photos la...

Ijok: Hooligans

I have never in my life, expected of all people in Malaysia, that this could happen to me. And happened it did on that terrifying day 21 April 2007 in Ijok. I was on a photography assignment that day with Jeff Ooi. His account of the incident HERE and HERE. To cut the story short, Jeff and myself were invited to have lunch in a small Malay eatery with Tan Sri Dato' Khalid Ibrahim, the Parti KeADILan Rakyat candidate standing for the State by-election in the Ijok constituency in Selangor.

I have travelled all over the nooks and corners of Malaysia (even Sabah and Sarawak) in pursuit of my photography work and never once have I ever been intimidated or harassed by local folks even in the deepest of rural kampung villages.

Ijok By-Election

Unofficially, Parti Keadilan Rakyat is going to win the Ijok by-election by 500 votes. That’s what three intelligence agencies have reported and Barisan Nasional is running scared. Officially, Barisan Nasional will win by roughly 1,200 votes? And why do I say this? Simple, out of the 12,000 plus voters, about 1,700 or so are ‘phantom voters’.

250 million

Cancel the bridge cost more than building the bridge!!! where is the logic? Whose money? WE ALL LAH.

RM 1,000 / child

What is that means? Anyone know?

This figure of RM1,000 is the courtesy from our government for all parent that have children so that you can have tax deduction. So kind, so good, so caring......

But maybe this figure is suitable for 90's IMHO. I should just list down the rough expenses for a baby annually, ONLY the milk powder!

1. Milk powder = ~ RM 180/mth x 12 mth/yr = RM 2,160/yr

i think the rest like visit doctor due to sickness, cloths, porridge, nappy, milk bottles and lots more, i just excluded for the calculation purposes, assuming we are too "kan cheong" on our baby, want to give all the best thing in the world to our baby........ Still RM 1,000 is just enough to cover 5 - 6 months of milk powder yet we are not using the super duper damn expensive milk powder (exp: RM 50++/900g/can compared to RM 33/900g/can)....

What say you?

Feeling Good Factor, again

Whenever PM or DPM claimed our economy is good, sure the next few day share market turn Bear. CI is not represent the overall picture anyway, in my opinion, for example yesterday market, Losers led gainers by 606 to 320 while 264 counters were unchanged, 190 untraded and 33 suspended even though CI up 7.35 points. And today, market is red. I think they should just do their works and let the economists to comment.

Maybe the general election is near, therefore a lot of this non-economist leaders claim that...especially by-election is near again for IJOK, Selangor.

Another Sad Story of Hindus

On 2nd April, 2007, seven officers from JAIS came to his house in Kampung Baru Tambahan Ulu Yam Lama, Selangor and told him that his wife of 21 years was a Muslim and that she and the six children must be placed in a rehabilitation centre.

Marimuthu, 44, had no choice but to let the officers take his family away.

He said an “ustaz” told him to convert to Islam or threatened to charge him for khalwat with Raimah.

I hope People of Ijok can make a right choice by telling the Mighty BN don't bully the Rakyat. Don't use Religion to separate a family!!!!!!!! Time to unite all Malaysian!!! Damn it .....

Too Long To Wait

Reproduced from NST:

A former senior academician was charged in the Sessions Court on Wednesday with corruptly deceiving his employer by providing false information. Dr Abdullah Sipat, 57, was alleged to have prepared a false invoice and a delivery order for purchasing a computer notebook costing RM3,500.

The invoice and the delivery order had the name of Satupadu Marketing and Services Sdn Bhd when the computer was in fact not purchased.

Abdullah allegedly committed the offence at the Biochemistry and Microbiology Department office at Universiti Putra Malaysia between July 23, 2002, and Aug 26, 2002. He pleaded not guilty.

DPP Nazrul Nizam Zameri from the Anti-Corruption Agency proposed RM5,000 bail but defence counsel A. Sivanesan pleaded for it to be reduced, saying Abdullah had two children who were still studying. Sessions judge Nurmala Salim set bail at RM4,500 with one surety which Abdullah posted.

She fixed Jan 16 to 18 next year for trial.

Abdullah was the biotechnology department head of the Science and Environment Faculty at the university. He was an associate professor with more than 30 years experience before retiring in 2005.

I post the article not because he was from UPM, or Biotech, but TODAY is 06 April 2007, and the Judge fix Jan 16 to 18 next year for trial!!!!!!!! Don't you think it take too long for a small tiny corruption case??? What happen then to the BIG BIG corruption cases???? Need to wait for YEARS........?

Too bad to hear this, May his soul rest in peace. Expecting another by-election for this state seat.

Fund Raising

Need to have a Fund Raising for my knee operation. Damn it, even at HUKM also cost me RM7235.00. They even give a quotation with all the items in the list. The item who caught my attention is Two (2) screws and an artificial ligament, RM 3,800.00.

What the hell so expensive. It is a biodegardable screws. Today, i went for another round of physiotheraphy at HUKM, and i talked to a guy who just did his
ACL operation, same knee with mine, left knee. According to him, Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre Kuala Lumpur quoted him RM 18k for knee ACL operation. Is this RM18k included other things like physiotheraphy, "hotel type" bed room, etc? Sound scary!!!

For the details of the list, i will update tomorrow.

RM 600 million lie

Govt denies RM3m allocations for Umno division chiefs
B.Suresh Ram

KUALA LUMPUR (April 2, 2007): The government has denied it allocated RM3 million for each Umno division head to implement small-scale projects in their areas.

Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin said the RM3 million is part of the additional RM600 million allocated for development projects in parliamentary constituencies.

"The projects have already been implemented," he said in reply to a supplementary question from Lim Kit Siang (DAP-Ipoh Barat) in Parliament (Dewan Rakyat) today.

Lim had asked why there was a RM3 million allocation for every Umno division (parliamentary constituency) which was meant to enrich the respective Umno heads.

He also asked why the RM600 million was allocated without parliamentary approval.

The RM600 allocation was announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on the eve of last November’s Umno annual general meeting and the RM600 million was disbursed by the Finance Ministry on Dec 22.

Awang Adek said the allocations were channeled to the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department and disbursed to the federal development departments and state development offices.
