RM 1,000 / child

What is that means? Anyone know?

This figure of RM1,000 is the courtesy from our government for all parent that have children so that you can have tax deduction. So kind, so good, so caring......

But maybe this figure is suitable for 90's IMHO. I should just list down the rough expenses for a baby annually, ONLY the milk powder!

1. Milk powder = ~ RM 180/mth x 12 mth/yr = RM 2,160/yr

i think the rest like visit doctor due to sickness, cloths, porridge, nappy, milk bottles and lots more, i just excluded for the calculation purposes, assuming we are too "kan cheong" on our baby, want to give all the best thing in the world to our baby........ Still RM 1,000 is just enough to cover 5 - 6 months of milk powder yet we are not using the super duper damn expensive milk powder (exp: RM 50++/900g/can compared to RM 33/900g/can)....

What say you?

RM1000 is better than nothing. Of course it's never enough, but you cannot expect the gahmen to provide every single cent of expenses for a child right? Anyway, I dun understand the tax deduction part, cannot make sense of the sentence " RM1000 is from gov for all parents so that you can have tax deduction" Huh? Do mean the RM1000 is tax-free? Given or not given, we parents still file for tax deduction isn't it?

i never ask for garment to provide every single cent of expenses for a child, the money spent on children parent will kaw time. Just the tax portion, garment extimated rm1000/child is far to little the amount, it it not logic at Y2K.

that's mean garment allow your income of rm 1000 tax free...
