打造巴都丁宜恢复以往光采，人人有责！

政府拨款14亿2000万令吉，希望在各部门的配合，旅游业经营者、旅客与人民的全面参与下，致力恢复巴都丁宜以往的光采，使它再度成为槟州最主要的旅游景点。

槟州旅游发展及环保委员会主席邓章耀指出，在大马第9发展计划下，政府通过水利灌溉局拨款8亿令吉，充足清洁当地3条河流，将其水源素质提升至第2极，并在有关计划在年底达到水平时，邀请槟岛市政局主席拿督再纳拉欣，陪同水利灌溉局全国总监与他一起跳入其中之一条河流游泳。

RM 800 million to clean up 3 rivers in Batu Ferringhi? Sound like crazy!! i have no idea how RM 800 million can spend for...but it is not a small amount!! Anyway, hope they use it wisely to clean up Batu Ferringhi, my hometown. Basically the main contaminants are from the restaurant wastes (foods waste) which full of oils and grease. All these O & G are being flushed to river without proper treatment or oil separation. With these high organic loading of wastes being dumped into river, sure lah, the fishes and plants can't survive mah. The river near SRJC once used to be crystal clear, now become blackish and smelly. The rubbishes from local folks all dump near the main road with 2 to 3 small rubbish bins. If the rubbishes not collect for more than a day, i am damn very sure that it will throw on the floor. I event complained to the MPPP due to this!!!

I think another main contamiant is from Rumah Setinggan where all the used water being flush to river...... because they do not have a proper system to treat it. So, treatment of river must go deep into kampung to centralize the waste treatment and prevent them from throwing rubbish into rivers too.

In my memory, i think the last carnival was held when i was still in primary school and i still remember that was my happy moment not only for me but also for my dad because he can earned more during that weekend. A lot of "outsider" from Batu Ferringhi would drove all the way to Batu Ferringhi, an area once older generation did not encourage thier children to go to because of windy road.

I event joined the sand castle building competition together with my brother. That was even earlier, maybe age around 5 and a local newspaper published our photo. My mom still keep that paper cutting.

Time to bring back the glory moment of Batu Ferringhi, but 1st of all, clean the place.

据了解，23岁的印裔拖车工友惹雅德旺，疑被路旁的警员，以半块砖头击向摩托车前轮，当场翻覆，头部受重创，昏迷当场。

这起拖车工友疑被执法警员误为飙车族的事件，于周日凌晨2时许，发生在华盖街槟州法庭附近，伤者被送往槟城医院抢救，惟其脑袋因血液积存，伤势极为严重，伤者至周日中午仍昏迷不醒。

Change of Owner

Time to let go YP's bike to Kam Meng after i kept it for 2.5 years since YP went to further his PhD. I used twice at Melacca and Port Dickson Trithlon events with my personel best of 1 hr 17 min for 40 km distance. Since then, i mean after marry life and knee problem, i rarely cycle especially on road bike. Yeah, i still keep my 14 years old mountain bike with me......and i will use it after i carry out my knee surgery sometime at the end of this year if everything is going as schedule.

The service of the bike now continue under Kam Meng, he will use it in Desaru Trithlon, a 2km swim, 90km cycling and 21km run event, this year. Good Luck man......

All my kaki in cycling, we shall meet again next year after CNY. Expected to fully recover from knee surgery.

Flowering

It is very rare for this plant to have flower. Once it flower, it means money is coming. I do believe that. They day that i noticed it has flower, the same day i bought 4 Ekor in Magnum and PMP, it open in TOTO second prize, my car plate number. So "am tui"...... somehow this is what we called it so near yet so far kuah......
