Spanish F1

Again, Button finished in P1 together with team mate P2. His 4th P1 in 5 races, what a amazing performance from Brawn. Where is the Ferrari & McLaren? Massa had to slow down in last 4 laps in order to save the fuel and he dropped from 4th place to 6th. His car can't even drove back to the pit after the race. What the heck of the team management and strategy, not to talk about the car reliablility and performance.

F1 Sepang 2009: Half the Points

Another terrible end of F1 race in Sepang, Malaysia with only 31 laps completed out of 56. Not even reached the minimum 75% laps for full points. With the race started so late in 5pm compared to 3pm for the past years, by 6.30pm, it was dark and almost impossible to continue the race till 7pm. It is not night race mah. So you find the weird points of 0.5 in this 2009 seson.

The rain only started after 1 hr of race, but it became so heavy that the race has to stopped and safety car was employed. With Button went for 4 pits stop, changing the type from slick into itermediate into wet, and he still managed to get P1. Heifeild of BMW was lucky with only one pits stop and end up P2. Glock of Toyota was P3.

Again this race, Ferrari gains no points, both in constructor and championship points. Mclaren only has one points after 2 races. Another dissapointed 2009 season which saw supposed stronggest teams losing the race. Amazingly Button from Brawn (ex-Honda) won P1 for consercutive race, his 3rd in his carrier.

This year also saw PM Najib presented the trophy, his 1st time as PM of Malaysia.

Till then, wait for next race in China, 19 April 2009.

New Season of F1

Brawn GP (formerly known as Honda Team) won Australia F1 with 1-2 finished. So the most stupid dude of F1 will be Honda. They dumped in tonnes of money to develope the car but due to economic crisis, they decided to quit F1 and sold its cars to Brawn. Brawn then get Merz engines and put into the cars, and it worked! Competitors claimed they used the controversy "disffuser" at the car.

This season also see the coming back of slick tyres that was not used for many season due to safty issues. Smaller rear wing and longer front wing, KERS system......and a lot more new features....

This is the first time also i watched F1 races with SC lead the pack to finishing line. For Ferrari, a bad start of the new season.......

Why Malaysians So Crazy on EPL?

Why Malaysians so addicted to EPL? Why not Spanish, German or Italy?

I do not really watch EPL, i do not follow the game as well. Actually, i still concern on PFA although they are bottom of the table at the moment!

Leading Constructor: BMW Sauber

For the 1st time, BMW Sauber is leading the constructor championship with 30 points, follow by Ferrari 29 points.

Kubica finished with P3. BMW Sauber F1.08's secret weapon - rear suspension that able to reduce drag.

And again, Ferrari finished with style, P1 & P2. Ferrari also introduced new Front & Rear Wing profiles. This might be the reason also for the win besides LUCK.

Terrible First F1 Race - Australia

Imagine only 7 cars crossed the finishing line out of 22 cars. It was either crashed out or mechanical/engine failure. All you need is to drive safely cross the line, then sure you will get the point. Even if you do not finish the 58 laps like Toro Rosso's Sebastien Bourdais, 2 laps from finishing line, also get some points.

The most terrible crash was Timo Glock in Toyota, all 4 suspensions broke and the spun few times before hit the barrier.

The most dissapointed team of course went to Ferrari, both cars having mechanical failure.

After Japan's race, Raikkonen was behind Hamilton 18 points. With two consecutive P1 finished for Kimi and a retired race at Shanghai & P7 (Brazil) for Hamilton, Kimi over take Hamilton and became Champion.

Three (3) man battle now for the Driver Championship after Hamilton failed to finish the race at Shanghai and will be decided on last leg of race at Sau Paulo, Brazil on 21 October 2007.

Who will win the title?

Hamilton Win - If he finish P1 or P2.

Alonso Win - If he finish P1 & Hamilton finish P3, both same point at 113 but with Alonso won more race.

Raikkonen Win - If he finish P1, Hamilton finish P6 and above with Alonso P3.

Based on the survey conducted at F1 website, Raikkonen is slightly leading Hamilton. Of course i cast my vote to Raikkonen.

CANTODOR the CHAMP!!

He is the Tour de France Champion for 94th edition. only 23 seconds ahead of Dadel Evans from Australia.

Running from Saturday July 7th to Sunday July 29th 2007, the 94th Tour de France will be made up of a prologue and 20 stages and will cover a total distance of 3,550 kilometres.


These 20 stages have the following profiles:

• 11 flat stages
• 6 mountain stages
• 1 medium mountain stage
• 2 individual time-trial stages

Distinctive aspects of the race:

• 3 mountain finishes
• 2 rest days
• 117 kilometres of individual time-trials (including the prologue)
• 21 Category 1, Category 2 and highest level passes will be climbed

12 new stop-over towns

1st Chequered Flag

Lewis Hamilton won his 1st Chequered Flag at yesterday Canada F1 after his 6th F1 race. What a powerful rookies. 1 P3 finished at 1st race in Australia, 4 P2 finished in a row starting from Sepang till Monaco 2 weeks ago and now P1 at Canada with total points of 48, leading the championship title, while his team mate Alonso 2nd at 40 points.

Those who miss the race this morning around 1am must watch again tonight 10.30pm, delay race at channel 82.

Everest: Beyond The Limit

Yesterday night 10pm at Channel 50 Discovery Channel showed Everest: Beyond The Limit - Part 1. The climbers now reached North Col. The show will continue next week Tuesday 29th May 2007 10pm.

Anyway, for part 1, it will repeat on 23rd May 3am, 8am and 12pm, 26th May 1am, 27th May 3pm.

Becareful when hike and camp.... one more case just happend yesterday at Gunung Ledang. The tree fell down and hit that poor fella...... Don't set up your camp near the trees if possible.... Last week, Wan Lin just highlighted another incident that happended also in Gunung Ledang. Also from Singapore...

Change of Owner

Time to let go YP's bike to Kam Meng after i kept it for 2.5 years since YP went to further his PhD. I used twice at Melacca and Port Dickson Trithlon events with my personel best of 1 hr 17 min for 40 km distance. Since then, i mean after marry life and knee problem, i rarely cycle especially on road bike. Yeah, i still keep my 14 years old mountain bike with me......and i will use it after i carry out my knee surgery sometime at the end of this year if everything is going as schedule.

The service of the bike now continue under Kam Meng, he will use it in Desaru Trithlon, a 2km swim, 90km cycling and 21km run event, this year. Good Luck man......

All my kaki in cycling, we shall meet again next year after CNY. Expected to fully recover from knee surgery.

This year BMW sponsored the Pit Lane Park at KLCC from 4 - 8th April 2007. There were rubber burning, stunt bike show. Also available were F1 Pit Stop events like Pumping Petrol which i tried, changing F1 tyre in 10 seconds, physical training for F1 drivers etc......

The tyre including rim is weigh less than 2kg i think, but the air pump to open/lock the wheel weigh more than 5kg. My group took 15 second to change tyre....... too long for F1 races........

We are the Champion!

Bravo to Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong. It is another 25 years for us to claim champion again after Thomas Cup in 1992. It was a great game!!!

The tour is back after a lot of issues at last season. Forget 2006. Now is 2007.
